Stop 8 - County Tile

Stop 8 is at the county tile. This large tile drains approximately 800 acres and runs beneath a grass waterway. A 10-15 acre wetland complex is planned for this site with the first cell designed to trap sediment and the second and third cells to functon as true wetlands.

The third cell, closest to the stream, will be 8-9 feet deep to allow stocking and over-wintering of fish.

The tile flows into a weir box with a v-notch in it. This, along with a formula, helps us determine the amount of water flowing from the tile.

By clicking on the arrow, you can see a close-up of the tile pipe as it flows into the containment box.
