Stop 10 is at the hybrid aspen planting.
Hybrid aspen and poplar are used in buffers because of their extremely fast growth. There are two fundamental differences between hybrid aspen and poplar:
1. Hybrid aspen sprout from root initiates as far out as tree roots grow. Often, this can be a headache unless you want a free forest.
2. Hybrid poplar grow from stump sprouts and don't spread like aspen do. They grow equally quickly.
Each species has an average lifespan of 60-100 years.
